This stand-alone certification provides licensed professionals with the required training under Colorado Rule 1.9(B) to safely and legally perform manual resurfacing exfoliation procedures, including microdermabrasion and dermaplaning. Instruction includes training in skin structure, skin types and conditions, microexfoliation techniques, treatment procedures, infection control, safety practices, applicable laws and rules, salesmanship, and occupational safety and health standards. The course includes theory, demonstration, and supervised
practical application to ensure safe and compliant service performance.

*This training enables licensed professionals to competently perform manual resurfacing exfoliation procedures as permitted under Colorado Rule 1.9(B).

This course is taught in English. Textbooks and course materials are only offered in the English Language.

Manual Resurfacing Exfoliation Certification - Microdermabrasion & Dermaplaning COURSE OVERVIEW

Course Hours: 14 clock hours

The course is divided into theory instruction and supervised hands-on lab experience.

  1. Pre-clinical Classroom Instruction: 7 hours are dedicated to classroom-based theory covering core concepts, safety protocols, treatment fundamentals, contraindications, and applicable Colorado rules and regulations.
  2. Clinic Classroom Learning Experience: The remaining 7 hours are spent in supervised practical application, where students perform treatment demonstrations and guided practical exercises and supervised service application under instructor guidance.
